The Scholar's Workstation is committed to protecting the privacy and accuracy of your confidential information as much as possible subject to business operations requirements.
The Scholar's Workstation collects personal information such as name, address, e-mail address and telephone number(s). TSW also temporarily collects credit card information for on-line transactions. As soon as the electronic payment processor, Cybersource, authorizes the transaction the credit card number is deleted from the sales order.
Some customer information may be reported to manufacturers for warranty and service contract activation.
The Scholar's Workstation collects browser-IP-address information and anonymous-browser history to report information about site accesses and for profiling purposes. This information is generally used to improve Web presentation and utilization.
The Scholar's Workstation is a Verisign secure site. All information sent to this site, if in an SSL session, is encrypted, protecting against disclosure to third parties.
